Canada's argument is going to be that FIFA/UEFA opened the door to this by banning Russia from the World Cup, and they might win that.

And that is an awful precedent to set and the reason FIFA, for all its many billions of faults, was always dead on in punishing government interference in national associations until now. The thing about denying Visas is probably going to cause problems too. There's a chance here, maybe small but still there, that FIFA makes this pretty miserable for Canada.

CSA should've done their homework beforehand but once it was in motion this wasn't the right course of action at all.

I'm all for increased competition in England but this thread is right, teams that are generally well run and competitive in good leagues on the continent are falling behind fast and that's as bad for the game overall as the Super League was.
