Given that Barzagli is hurt too and is likely going to wind up playing through injury if at all, yeah, it's a pretty big deal. We'll probably be lucky to see a remotely even game now. Sucks, because I thought Juve had a chance in hell here given the way they handed Madrid.

That's maybe the least-surprising part in all of this given how quickly the furor died down after Hand of Frog. Unsurprising that the FAI took the money, too, considering they were in the final stages of re-building Lansdowne Park at the time which cost a fortune and coincided with the collapse of the Irish economy. They got to keep the entire sum and not give any to the players, which they would've been required to do had they reached the Finals.

I watched that game from start to finish because whitecap Deybi Flores was playing ... he played well actually ... honduras had a shitload of chances

defensively in the first half they were a complete joke ... back pass and their goalie picked it up so their was a free kick in the box ... fiji striker who looked a tad overweight plunked the free kick off the bar and the goalie proceeds to just fall asleep and let a weak rebound in
