Did you know that Martin is our most valuable player according to WAR.

Fangraphs has it as Rios (1.6), then Beltre (1.4), then Martin (1.1)

It was Choo (1.0) but his freefall has dropped him to 4th

Chirinos is 5th (.7)

And technically its Darvish (2.5) but I assumed you meant batters

Sidenote: Fangraphs is a big fan of Colby at .8 so far

that seems more reasonable, not sure where ESPN gets WAR from but that's where I saw it. ESPN is probably not the best place to search for WAR. He is a 26 on here I think:

2014 Regular Season MLB Baseball Batting Statistics - AL Players - Major League Baseball - ESPN

That's the real issue on WAR anyway, people don't even agree on how to calculate it.

Looks like they get it from baseball-reference. That site agrees with what ESPN is showing.

Your right about Darvish though- I wasn't counting pitching.

I believe ESPN uses Baseball Reference, but I prefer fangraphs, seems a bit more in depth b/c you can look up all the other statistics to verify alongside it

Time to pull him, 1st career shutout would be nice but not worth the additional pitches
