Yep, Jay Huff had a very good summer league and he'll probably have a shot at actually being a starter because Dwight is gone and we have who else at the Center position? Dude shoots threes really well too and plays defense!

he's a guy who does some really good things (rim protection, shoot 3s) but somehow the pieces didn't work out as well as you'd want.

Yes and Jones is a true Center and Bryant is more of a PF who plays the 5 alot. Huff is a true Center at 7'1 who has adapted to the modern game with a really nice three but he plays defense which is a Ham guy. All three are young guys which is the direction the Lakers are headed anyways.

Now that the chances of the Lakers signing Irving anytime soon continuing to decline and the three-team trade to move Westbrook gaining a bit more traction, the chances of James signing extension are improving. The key will be, based on leaks, that the Lakers giving a commitment to James that if Irving becomes available near the trade deadline, that they will move to sign Irving. But we shall see what transpires between Training Camp and the Trade Deadline.
