I will say this......if the Lakers don't get better with their new pickups....they need to consider consulting and trading James.....in the offseason

KD brought some nice players and 4 1st rounders plus a pick swap. James should bring a few nice players and 2 1st rounders plus a pick swap from some team looking to win in next few years.

I think you remember me saying all along, DJ, that after the bubble championship, James has been instrumental at influencing who the Lakers hired to further his legacy. I was called crazy and all sorts of references to insanity. After the James-inspired bringing in all the old dudes that led to that season of disaster and Jeanie finally stepping in and demanding no more trading away their future just because the deFacto GM James wanted somebody else along with the Westbrook debacle that fell directly on James's feet, players are finally coming to the true realization of what sort child-bully James really is. I said a year ago that it was time for the Lakers to think about moving him to a taker that will let him play with his son. It is time to move on from a self-absorbed, somewhat egomaniacal little man-child to fund the Lakers future with incoming assets!

Let him play GM for some other team, because he is terrible at it.

And if he is ignoring Ham and playing off script, that sure explains the lack of cohesiveness that has led to all these losses.

Huge win.

Schroder with 26 points.

Habachi had 16 and 7 rebounds.

Russ had an efficient game with 15 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Vanderbilt was great off the bench with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

AD struggled on offense shooting 5 of 19 but he had 16 boards and 3 big blocks.

I am really liking the new players that Pelinka secured. They are talented and all of them appear to want to play for the Lakers. Maybe this will change the locker room culture that has been in place for awhile now that basically just shows-up for a paycheck and little else. Vanderbilt is def a keeper and Russell really has matured into a consistent player.

Need this W tonight.

Portland is ahead of us in the standings and we need to win it for tiebreaker purposes.

Well, umm, not going to win with Portland shooting like that....

The DLo/Schroder backcourt is a too defense-deficient. Use the open roster spot on Kris Dunn for defensive purposes (and he's developed a 3 pt shot in the g-league this year).

Mo Bamba plays nice defense and a good rebounder but has to harness his treys.

I know he can make them, but 0 for 5 is bad shot selection.

Yep, the deFacto quiet GM, James is lauding the new players and D'Angelo Russel has really become a very good player. I think the three starting newbs of Vanderbilt, Beasley, and Russell are really the start of something special. Bamba off the bench with the host of players we already have could very well become a force in the West. Since Westbrook was shown the door, the team attitude has improved drastically and players are playing consistently better. Maybe we may pull this season out yet.

They need to string together 8-10 wins in a row to really make any headway.

Westbrook is being bought out by the Jazz and is signing with the Clipjoint. This should be interesting.
