Trash talking is part of the game, you will see it in any college game you watch. Coaches attacking players from the other team isnt part of the game and thats why we still talk about a few seconds of the 1978 Gator bowl in 2013.

my impression of that was that it wasn't really the players' choice

i do that with my students sometimes, give them a "choice" of next assignment even though we're going to do both eventually


and i don't agree with the choice to not suspend him, but i don't think that makes him trashy
