This show really proves that Gervais is more than just a comic. He is able to tackle REAL issues in an emotional way and still out out amazing content. He is one of the modern day GOATs (GOMD??).

I just can't warm up to him. I sort of find him irritating rather than pleasurable.

A series I want to find if I can is Crime Story. Michael Mann effort with Dennis Farina.

It was the first time I saw Ted Levine in anything and it was memorable. He was driving down a Nevada highway picking his nose and eating it...

Peacock and roku have it. 2 seasons. Some others do as well. Check out www.justwatch.com its usually where i check what services offer a specific show.

Quinn Martin made a lot of series I watched. including those last 2. 12 O'clock High, Barnaby Jones, Streets of San Fransisco.
I also watched SoSF on syndication. I loved that show. Haven’t seen an episode in about 40 years, though, so I have no idea if I would still like it, or, really, what it was even about.

And I am quite certain I had no idea what it was about when I watched it, either.

He is an acquired taste. It took me a while to “get” him. And I am still not a fan of everything he does. Derek is a show he did about a “special” person. I lasted MAYBE one episode.

Peacock is NOT free.

you can log in for free, but they only give free access to pilots (and occasionally an extra ep or two).

ahh ok. my mistake. I have only used it a few times. I did watch multiple seasons of shows. I guess I just got lucky on the few I chose.

The Good Place, still amazing.
I will rewatch this eventually. I don’t feel the pull yet, but it was good enough to do a rewatch at some point.

I think that's it.. his is a very dry, deadpan and rather quick English humor where the laughs can get past you if you're not paying close attention, especially as an American. It's largely due to the accent and dialect that isn't always easy to understand... and who wants to have to pay close attention to a comedy? I had a similar issue with his The Office at first. I just roll it back and replay when I miss something.

Each episode of "After Life" had at least 1 scene where he and his buddy & photographer would interview someone(s) for their news story. They were usually hilarious, my favorite being the last where they interviewed a middle-aged couple who run some sort counseling group, which as it turned out was just a forum for spouse-swapping/orgies. The verbal interplay between the couple talking about what they do and Gervais & his photographer interviewing them had me rolling.

Its free if you have other certain things. Like I know xfinity gives you free peacock for example.

I’m in the middle of watching Sons of Anarchy again. Only watched through it once when it was first airing. Forgot how tragic it ends for pretty much every character. I’m slowly remembering as I watch. SoA had a more Game of Thrones ending than Game of Thrones did…
