As a sidenote to watching some older movies, musical scores totally ruin action and suspense movies. Music is never scary. At all. Silence with sound effects contain far more suspense because its realistic.

Rewatched this movie last night.
Better than I remembered.
It gets real close to what's going on now, and missed in a few areas.
Story, acting, plot, all good.

While I agree that is humorous, I did a similar review a few months back. I think I "recommended" Blended while still giving it a 3/10.

Hey guys! Guys! Hey! Look at me! I'm funny too! Look guys! Look!

Sorry, my Marx Brothers film fest got waylay-ed....

Slight detour to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

I love that movie. I really do. They handle the time thing well enough with their own overlaps, and I really do guffaw and the obvious jokes.

I will always like that movie.

Just watched Into the Woods with my kids. All 3 different ages and different genders liked it. And I enjoyed it myself. And I would happily marry Anna Kendrick and never even need to look at another woman. Damn she is hot. Hot enough that I don't even mind watching musicals just to see her. Well I don't mind too much.

Then watched The Man of Tai Chi without them. A pretty terrible Kung Fu movie. And I'm never a big fan of watching actual Chinese Kung Fu movies, I can't get past the cultural differences of having the big bad ass main character that kicks everyone's ass look like an androgynous Anime character. Keanu Reeves makes a more believable bad ass martial artist than the main character. And no matter how many times they keep casting him as it, Keanu Reeves will never make a believable bad ass.

The Ant Man

Pretty cool movie. Typical superhero vs. villain. I liked how they incorporated the Avengers into it. Worth the watch, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in theaters (watched online).

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

Loved it. I do have to admit however, that the plots are really starting to lack creativity. This one was pretty much exactly like ones of the past. Just a different villain. But they never fail to entertain! Love the action, the acting, etc.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Holy shit that was an intense movie! Action packed to the gills! They did a great job of recapturing the hell on earth that the original did. Hardy & Theron were fantastic. Wasn't crazy about some of the others.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was on teevee last night...'cheesy', I think, best describes it...movie's only redeeming value is a reminder to re-read the books.

Watched 'Singles' for the umpteenth time... One of those movies that "spoke to me" back in the day... Movie about 20 somethings and I was a 20 something then, so...

Anyway, the soundtrack is SO good that I can get caught up watching the movie just to hear the music...

Aw-node was good in this, granted, but I have to still feel that he was mis-cast. It was a very subdued flick, and another actor could have brought a bit more depth to the emotions, I think. Again, Aw-nodes best acting job ever, no question. He did great. I am just not sure it was enough.

As for the movie itself, it is an interesting take on the genre. A non-apocalypse zombie movie. Interesting. The execution was a bit dull and too slow, though.
