Jurassic World

I am not a fan of the series in general, so I went in wanting to dislike it.

I was not disappointed.

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1. It was really, really good. Better than I expected. I never read the books because I hate reading books, so I'm luckily not gonna have to be spoiled and know what happens in the next movie, lol.

Ant Man

Basically a remake of Iron Man 1. But it was still well done and very entertaining. As has been mentioned by others, Michael Pena stole every scene he was in. I usually don't like side-kicks, but the way they handled him was hilarious, and not TOO over-the-top.

The SFX in the opening scene were amazing. Forrest Gump quality. Great way to start off the movie.

Watched Birdman for the first time today.

Wasn't great, wasn't terrible, though it made me realize The Academy is on crack.

There is no tool more powerful in causing fear/suspense/tension in a horror film than the viewer's imagination. You probably wont find a movie where its used better than here.

Took the wife to see Tomorrow Land last weekend at the $5 theater. It's a $5 movie, not a penny more.

It started off decent, was going OK but man does it take a big oh shit. Just horrible.
Even the ending credits song makes you want to punch someone.

This was my take on it.
I don't think it would have been hard at all to make the ending better.

I never read the books because I hate reading books

Takes quality phone time away? I feel sad for you.

I can think of nothing better than a quiet, sunny AM with a coffee, a bit of the herb superb and a good book on my back patio.

Most good books will never be made into a movie.

On top of it all reading builds the mind.

I found that film limp and uninspired. Not even sure I finished it when I recorded it off a movie channel.

Not necessarily. I just can't get into books, for some reason. It ain't like I don't TRY to read them. I get around halfway through and just get bored. I'd rather watch movies, even if the books are better. I know it sounds crazy, but it's just the type of person I am.

Revolver - A 2005 Jason Statham, Guy Ritchie movie.

The movie chronology is relatively non-linear. Lots of flash backs, the movie is all over the place. The end, the last 20 minutes of the movie, is a total clusterfuck that left me thinking "wtf just happened?"
