Yeah I know I'm in the minority and maybe it was the hype, but I was expecting so much more.

It isn't even on my watch it free when it's on Movie Central list....

I think I'll re-watch my Blood Diamond BluRay instead..... A much better option.

Great movie.

I have nothing against him at all.

Not many schnauzers on his resume.

And Blood Diamond blows the doors of or 99 out of 100 superhero movies.

I had a hard time with Tom Cruise as well. It took a long time before i could enjoy his work. I think the first was Collateral!

Monsters. You would not recognize Charlize Theron. She is butt ugly in that movie. It was a pretty interesting to see how that monster lived.

I guess part of the movie was filmed at the old Niles East HS in town, but I didn't recognize it at the time.

I'm with beardown, definitely worth making time for. It's a little hard to take Damon and Leo as tough guys, but I felt their performances were quite good. Marky Mark is hilarious in it!
Definitely not a date night flick or something to watch with young kids...

I almost missed this one AND No Country For Old Men...my daughter was little then and my leisure time was eaten up by taking her to see Winnie The Pooh and the Wiggles, coaching her softball teams, teaching her to ride a bike, etc. Not that I would trade that for anything...
My wife bought a box of ~50 DVDs on ebay and The Departed happened to be in there, but I still didn't watch it for several years. I thought NCFOM had a stupid title, but bought it for $5 from a Walmart bin after I noticed that it had won best pic. Think I have watched the former 3 times and the latter 5-6 times at this point...I have also been inspired to tackle Cormac McCarthy's oeuvre and have read 5 of his books so far, just got Suttree and Blood Meridian from Amazon.
