The Last Movie You Watched (no spoilers)

Ant-Man - I had very low expectations for it. Ant-Man for the most part met them. The end had us laughing. The only bright side.

It was pretty boring for me. I don't remember the ending except they saved the world?

The Jungle Book: 9.25/10

The story had already been established but still a wonderful visual SFX marvel. It's a bit predictable, even if you aren't familiar with the story.


Elvis & Nixon: 8.00/10

Just a fun romp, but not a terribly deep movie. Spacey and Shannon did fine acting jobs and it was a nice vignette of America in 1970.

I ran up to check on our condo last night and realized that I had not watched "The Departed" in a long time...many, what a great fucking movie. A little hard to believe that Frank Costello would not have sniffed Billy out as the rat earlier, guess the idea was that he either just liked the kid too much and/or thought he might become a legendary gangster like his uncle Jackie. But, still a really amazing flick with fine performances from a number of big name actors...Alec Baldwin as one of the cops was surprisingly good.
The night before, the wife and I watched "Major League" on Netflix...I basically knew the story and several of the scenes, but had never actually watched the whole movie. Horribly clichéd, but entertaining enough. The wife of the well paid ballplayer who couldn't catch a ball was horribly gruesome, though, Wild Thing would never have actually banged her.

The Departed is my second favorite movie of all time. When I'm drunk I like to say "Are you a cop???" in a Boston accent to myself until I pass out.

Holy shit! That was NOT what I expected. This move was horribly marketed. It was nothing like what the ads made it out to be.

I am not sure if I liked it or not yet. It was certainly well done, though. Serious thought went into putting it together.

I think I would give it about a 7.5/10, but I am kinda on my heals regarding the flick, so that may change drastically in the coming days.

Extremely disappointing movie. Took a concept with great potential and turned it into a pointless thriller.

If you are looking for a popcorn movie, sure, it wasnt much. Unfortunately, it was marketed as a popcorn movie. Thats what I was so shocked when I saw it.
