I liked the movie a lot. It felt very modern and had a reality TV feel to it if reality TV was done by silicon valley, contingency planners and city leaders. Its not going to win any awards but it was like a really good TV show and it makes you feel good about things for a change. How weird. I just watched that last night and was considering posting here about it.
I remember it happening, and it was a strange, out-of-nowhere, big event. This movie was fun telling the story of these people working on a project that just kept getting bigger and bigger and none of them were prepared.
I really liked the movie, understanding it is just a feel-good movie. Good point about the parenting issues, though. Miles wanted to stop at lunch, but they kept going, and they hardly touched on that in the movie.
I feel like movie has a slightly different quality if you don't know that the kid is successfully treated so it adds a bit of optimism to the end and a bit of sadness throughout if you aren't familiar with the story
