How weird. I just watched that last night and was considering posting here about it.

I remember it happening, and it was a strange, out-of-nowhere, big event. This movie was fun telling the story of these people working on a project that just kept getting bigger and bigger and none of them were prepared.

I really liked the movie, understanding it is just a feel-good movie. Good point about the parenting issues, though. Miles wanted to stop at lunch, but they kept going, and they hardly touched on that in the movie.
I liked the movie a lot. It felt very modern and had a reality TV feel to it if reality TV was done by silicon valley, contingency planners and city leaders. Its not going to win any awards but it was like a really good TV show and it makes you feel good about things for a change.

I feel like movie has a slightly different quality if you don't know that the kid is successfully treated so it adds a bit of optimism to the end and a bit of sadness throughout if you aren't familiar with the story

It was loosely based on a true story.

You could always google the ending:lol:
I have a buddy who cleared up the ending for me, told me some stuff I missed. So it was a much better ending than originally thought. I really did enjoy this film. Last film I watched that was man vs wild was the movie I thought was going to be Moby Dick, Into the Sea, I believe it's titled. That was not too good.

I really liked it. I thought the overall "feel" and "look" of the movie, was exceptional.

New Star Wars was playing at the cheap theaters. Went and saw it today. Pretty good, IMO. Looking forward to Ep. 8.

Just watched Macbeth, learned it was coming out in early 2015 but could not find it anywhere due to a limited release. Saw it at the store and bought it, if you enjoy Shakespeare or are familiar with the story I recommend watching it. I really enjoyed it my girlfriend who was unfamiliar with it did not. So your opinion would vary depending on familiarity with the work.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Pretty long & uneventful for the most part until the last 10-15mins. Acting was ok. Affleck did a decent job as batman. Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was hilariously awful. Not sure why or how they thought that would ever work out. Would have liked more action but the little we got was pretty badass. I'm not a comic book guy, but it seems like they got lazy with the creation of DoomsDay? They could have made it a lot better than that. And what a shitty way to end the BvS fight... Martha? That was a very big reach.

Trumbo: 4/5 stars. This movie had a great pace, great performances, and a great storyline. It only failed in clearly defining its message, which was a great one. The movie was trying to tell us that we shouldn't discriminate against anyone and that when we do people are affected. I guess by showing Trumbo's downfall they tried to do that, but it came off more to me like a personal decline due to stress and perfectionism (not unlike DiCaprio's performance as Howard Hughes in The Aviator) rather than a downfall because of injustice. Still, even with that unclear direction, I still really enjoyed the movie. Bryan Cranston was a fucking bad ass drinking whiskey, smoking a cigarette holder, and popping Benzedrine. I've never made a formal top 5 actor/actress list, but for sure DiCaprio is one, and I can't think of anyone else besides Cranston to be 2. I haven't seen as much as him as I would like, but I've never seen a performance from him that I didn't truly love and was enamored with. That can only be said for a few actors: DiCaprio, Cranston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Nicholson, and McConaughey (I haven't seen any of his 2000 chick flicks). Denzel would make the list if it wasn't for Remember The Titans.

Anyway, Bryan Cranston is fucking awesome (and an avid Phillies fan- look it up)

Anything with Cranston is usually gold, excluding the awful new Godzilla movie. Will look out for this movie.

The Warriors from 1979. I found it on the Viceland network last night. This was the original version, not the Ultimate Director's Cut which was released a few years ago. Aside from possibly Amazon video, I don't know if the original version is out there anyplace. If you can find it, and are willing to look past some cheesy acting in a few scenes, it's fun to watch.
