And people have the nerve to talk shit about the other teams in the NBA not trying to help the Lakers get better.

LOL.

And did I say it was?

It just listed the coaches over that time period. LOL.

He was highlighted in the post which was misleading, so I expanded on that.

Geez, Shopson. I am a bit stymied by your assertion. Perhaps a response for another time and place.

In this instance, Plaschke's assessment of the Lakers is spot on when it comes to who released the fact that Jerry West had died this morning. It was the Clippers and not he Lakers. I agree with him and that **** Jeanie Buss has no one to blame but herself for a complete bullshit way in which she handled Jerry West in the last couple of years. Just plain disgraceful and she is should be deeply ashamed in the way she handled all of it!!

More and more of these types of headlines are emerging again after the Lakers lost Dan Hurley as a candidate for their HC position. I am inclined to believe most of this article and once again it points back to Jeanie Buss who is just simply out of her league in today's basketball environment.

She and the Buss family really to sell the franchise before they run it into the ground with their collective stupidity and out-of-touch approach to running a dog and pony show that they are fast becoming.

Here is the complete story that led to a four-sentence "honoring" of Jerry West by Jeanie, douchebag Buss. Plaschke's take is spot on and he has identified the true reality of what the Lakers have become.

Of course the Clippers had the announcement, he was still an employee.

I like the pick of Zach Edey in the First Round but the Lakers may have to trade-up to get him.

The talent level in the first round from about 10 to 25 is pretty flat. Edey could work with LA, but if he's going before 17, he'll push someone else that will work down to 17 IMO.

If they're going to trade up, I would think it would be for someone projected earlier that they worked out (I'm thinking Holland or Carter?). It could be Edey too, but he hasn't been that high in most mocks (for whatever mocks are really worth lol).

Yea I agree Shopson with all your points. We need an infusion of fresh young talent at the five and start playing AD where is more comfortable at the 4. Edey would be perfect but if they go with Holland or Carter instead, well than, the point would become moot.

But you are right. If it is Edey, than they may have to trade-up to get him because apparently his draft stock is rising north of 17.

They need the option to play AD at the 4 for certain matchups, but I doubt he plays it that much. Playing him at the 4 means Lebron has to defend at the 3, which is a shaky proposition at this point in his career. Plus, AD's 3pt game has really slid in recent years, so you would need a floor spreading big next to him. Edey didn't do that in college but showed it a bit in workouts. Is it real? Remains to be seen.

Yea, we shall see what the Lakers do next week during the draft. The Lakers still have Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes for the 4/5 spots. They also still have Hachimura, Vanderbilt, Prince, Reddish, and Lewis for those same positions including the 3. So we shall see what occurs.

We have a whole roster of 6-10, 6-11 guys but we have no real Seven-footers. A 7'4 dude like a Kareem would change some things. I think drafting Edey would be a good First Round choice.
