AD needs to work on his treys in the offseason and preseason. He made 33% his 1st season with the Lakers...

If he could pop out there and hit 1 every now and again that would help us.

Because Redick wants shooters and to some degree players that are willing to play defense, I think DRuss will become that player and the Lakers will keep him going forward. The GTJ transaction ain't going to happen until the Lakers have the resources to pull it off. I think Lewis will become a way better player and be retained. The people that they eventually will move will be Reddish, JHS, and Vincent, if indeed that happens.

Right now, besides Prince who followed his favs coach to Milwaukee (that being Ham) everyone else is going to be retained for awhile until the Lakers see just how effective Redick becomes as their new wonder boy and, as they hope, their next Pat Riley.

If JHS and Vincent are moved, you have 1 PG.

James is the de facto PG.

Reaves is not a PG But he can handle the ball to take some pressure off James....he averaged 5.5apg last season, Russell? 6.3apg. There has been some talk of them bringing back Dinwiddie as well.

LOL at thinking JHS is ready to contribute anytime soon. Talk about a mistake.

And Russ is likely getting moved at the trade deadline...

Knecht most likely is the replacement for Prince's role by mid season.

Yep, DJ is correct. If JHS and Vincent go, then maybe the Lakers will move to find a replacement. Dinwiddie is the first immediate option. They have a host of guards at South bay and if Hinson continues to develop, he may see a back-up roll as a guard. I don't see the Lakers having a problem if they move Vincent and JHS.

I am not sure that may happen DJ. I speculate that DJ will buy all-in to Redick's program and become the player the Lakers envisioned him to be when they drafted him and then bringing him back.

...and if we're leaning into what Redick is saying, he wants Lebron off ball more.

JHS was not drafted to be ready at this point. He's a very young project (which has been further hampered by injury). He really could have used Summer League this year. That doesn't mean you dump him for cap/roster space.

Well, Shopson. We all know James is the de facto point guard when he can do that on a regular basis. But this Hinson kid actually chose the Lakers to play for REDICK. Maybe Redick will become the next Pat Riley?? MAYBE!!

Moses Brown added to the Vegas Summer League roster. Makes sense, former UCLA player, 7'2 defensive center, has bounced around the league, worth a look.

Yep Brown and the continued development of Castleton is one of the many reasons the Lakers didn't go after Edey in the draft and aren't going after any Centers they don't have the resources for in FA. The return of Hayes and Wood are sufficient at this point and Hayes may be a better player this year than last.

We don't need to be making anymore trades. The Lakers have plenty of players that just may get better. The Lakers may make the playoffs but if they do, they will definitely be a First Round exit.

That kid needs to be signed to play for the G-League Lakers.

I know it's just SL but he has played well.

Sure, Reaves can handle the ball.....and Dinwiddie could be signed as a backup.

JHS makes the most of the smaller contracts and I think he could be moved (along with Reddish and maybe Lewis) so we could get the space to sign Trent Jr. He is a better player at this point than any of those 3.....and he could provide as a shooter off the bench. \\

And again, Russell could be moved at the deadline along with others and picks for an upgraded better player.....

Redick has also said he wants AD to be the focal point of the offense so he can create opportunities for himself and others. So running the offense through AD makes sense. He is a good passer and can kick it out to the open shooters if Redick truly wants us to be more of a modern offense, shooting 3's and such.

Yep, DJ. This is similar to running the offense through Kareem back-in-the-day. BTW, I thought Hinson was signed to play with South Bay?

I did not know Hinson was signed? I thought he was playing with the SL team to have a shot?
