It all starts with fucking Aybar. The out pitch to Hamilton would have been a pitch buried low and in. He knew they were going away there.

Going up and away made zero sense. Cotts pitched him there every pitch, and Hamilton has the the arm and bat length to do exactly what he did. The ball should've been buried.

If Yu is who everyone supposes him to be, you do not pull him there. No way Verlander, Kershaw, Grienke, etc... get pulled there. No way.

Normally yes but not game 162 in a do or die game.
It all depends on how Darvish was fairing. He was pitching great and was purposely not giving Trout anything good to hit. It's not like he lost control of the strike zone...he was at 80ish pitches and dominating.

Man, we are not pushing the pitch count on Vargas at all. Would be nice to get into the Angel bullpen. You #2 and 3 hitters see 4 pitches combined in the bottom of the sixth. That's poor execution.

Dominating? What part of the hard-hit singles by Romine and Aybar was dominating?

It was poor execution by cotts that lead to that.

Soto called for that pitch up and it never should have been thrown there. Cotts should have shook that off, poor on both their parts
