"Reliever Jason Frasor, who played eight seasons in Toronto, typed messages to Casey Janssen and J.P. Arencibia before Friday's game in hopes that the Blue Jays would beat the Tampa Bay Rays, who started the weekend in front of the Rangers in the wild-card hunt.

Frasor said Saturday that since the Jays won on Friday, he sent a few more texts on Saturday hoping for a repeat performance."

Haha..nice.

Lets say he had won a WS in 2011. Francona won a WS in 2007, but he was gone a few short years later after an epic collapse. Just because you had success doesn't always mean you belong. Once you lose the player's ears it could mean it's time for a change. Baseball is a business and it's hardly personal with him. Yes some people do take their attacks of Wash too personal, but that's their problem.

You think Wash has lost this team? They just won their 6th straight game. If they wanted him out, they wouldn't be giving effort. Francona lost that team. He might have been a victim of his success. But Wash hasn't lost this team. They're doing the things in the Angel's series that got them to the World Series in 2010 and that's playing small ball and putting pressure on the defense.

ESPN has Tex at CLE for wildcard game if season
Ended today. So if Rangers win tomorrow

No...if the season ended right now the Rays and Rangers would play a tiebreaker game for the 2nd WC.

Umm no. The talent on the team got wash to the WS where he got schooled twice in a row and pissed away te 2011 WS. Thanks for playing though.

You're a fool. If it's all about the talent, why didn't the talent win those 2 Series regardless? NO, thank you for playing.

It's pretty ridiculous to ignore the ridiculous gaffes that cost this team games. You simply cannot say another manager would have this team in the exact same position. I can say I know this team would've won more games knowing the games he's cost them with his managing gaffes. I firmly believe Maddon would've won more games with this team.

Look, it's pretty obvious wash has lost the clubhouse ear. As rev states, once that happens its time for a change

Hey, your boy JOE MADDON is on the verge of CHOKING away an AL Wildcard spot. Went into the weekend needing only 1 win, ONE, . . . to secure no less than a playoff game and he might come out with NOTHING! Like Harrison Ford said in "Air Force One:" "GET OFF MY PLANE!"

Remember some like BB and some know BB. Just let the cards fall were they will.

That's why I'm not getting into it with him. He has nothing to back up his points but recency bias.
