Uh...competition? Thus my 14 team reference. Players didnt move. No competitive balance. No salary cap.
Its borderline common sense. Free agency changed everything as did the salary cap.
This is all football 101

I think qb is the position least impacted by humans increased physical athleticism.
It's throwing a ball.
I don't think human beings have gotten much better
Pitching, either.
Guys are a bit taller. That's it.

Not entirely. Ive seen first hand admins using friends of mines accounts to post things. They remove posts. Im just here til they ban me.
Maybe if you didn't troll so much you wouldn't need to worry about being banned.

Training my friend. Training. Its a full time job now and there are firms dedicated to it. Its a billion dollar industry.
And if you think the average size of humans (americans specifically) hasnt changed in 60 years, i cant help.

Steroids and HGH mean bigger athletes through chemistry.

in a 14 team league...

before free agency...

their lineman are now our kickers, by size comparison.

stop, you look absolutely foolish.
Welcome back strongo.
Not to mention they only played 12 and 14 games

I have to agree with you here. Only 2 out of 14 teams made the post season back then, now you only have to be one of the best 12 out of 32.
The 2 out of 14 is true in 4 out of the 5. However, in 2 out of the 5 championships, they had to win just 1 game to win it all. 2 out of the 5 they had to win just 2 games. 1 they had to win 3.

And if 2 out of the 16 teams in the AFC made the playoffs every year, the Pats would have made the playoffs in 11 of the last 16 years instead of 14. In the 6 years where the Pats got the bye and didn't win it all, the Pats were knocked off 4 times by a team that wouldn't have even been in the playoffs if it wasn't an expanded field.

Much easier path with little sustained competition.
