If Starr was any good, he would have been drafted higher than 200th overall.
If Brady was so good why was he selected in the 6th round? A stupid comment by you.

We have to slow them down for some of our southern friends.
Yeah I guess it's a tough combo to understand that joke. 1. You have to have the knowledge that Brady was drafted 199th overall and 2. You can't have a stick up your ass on a sports message board and recognize a joke.

I think he was 0/2

Training my friend. Training. Its a full time job now and there are firms dedicated to it. Its a billion dollar industry.
And if you think the average size of humans (americans specifically) hasnt changed in 60 years, i cant help.

Human's have gotten a bit bigger. That's why I said the QB have gotten a bit taller, but that's it. When I said "I don't think human beings have gotten much better" I was referring to the skill of throwing a football or a baseball, ftm. I don't think QBs are better at that. I don't think that size matters all that much when assessing that skill.

If you want to bring in modern advances in training, and whatever other advantages the current guys have had purely by virtue of being born later, then that's a whole different discussion. But if Unitas, Jurgensen, Staubach, Graham and some of the other old-timers had been born in 1980 instead of 40-60 years earlier they would still have gone on to be successful NFL QBs, imo.

Jurgensen has always been my favorite, because I was a Skins fan with season tix as a kid and watched him play every week. After posting in this thread I just wanted to check myself to make sure I wasn't just looking at this through my old guy, homer goggles so I watched his highlight reel on YouTube. It's about 9 minutes. I wasn't remembering wrong. The guy was fucking amazing. He had a ridiculous arm. Aside from their passing game the Skins sucked balls so they never won and he never comes up in these discussion. Welcome back, btw.

Wouldn't describe it as an inside joke, no. Should be a joke most football fans would get.

How are we supposed to know that you intended it as a joke ? With all due respect, you could just be some dumbass who didn't know Brady was a 200-ish pick too. The green font is for sarcasm... any green will do.

It clearly did.
The bottom line is you refuse to acknowledge some folks would consider Starr the GOAT. As a Patriots fan you are blinded by your love for your team.
