The Eagles made a mockery of the NFL last night

Last night the Eagles showed the rest of the league just how unprofessional an organization they are. With playoff implications on the line they literally threw in the towel and played only 3/4ths of a game despite the game having very serious implications.

This is PROFESSIONAL football. Teams and players are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Yesterday, you had teams literally playing for nothing in the Pats/Jets game but both teams left their starters in the entire game and competed. They gave fans what they paid for. The jaguars played hard the entire game even though it was meaningless to them because they recognize that they are professionals. The Eagles on the other hand made a mockery of themselves and the league by simply giving up and not playing hard for the entire game.

They are by far the biggest joke in the NFL today. The league should dock them a draft pick and give them a fine for what they displayed in a very meaningful game played on national television.

The players played hard the whole game. Pederson for whatever reason wanted to play Sudfeld. He sucks really bad. Thus the Eagles looked like shit. If anyone Pederson is at fault, not the players. Hell it's amazing that Eagles only lost by 6 with what they threw out there.

The players played hard the whole game. Pederson for whatever reason wanted to play Sudfeld. He sucks really bad. Thus the Eagles looked like shit. If anyone Pederson is at fault, not the players. Hell it's amazing that Eagles only lost by 6 with what they threw out there.

But Hurts was awful. I don't know that they really lost anything by playing Nate over Jalen. And honestly both teams looked like the keystone cops for much of the game.

but how is this different than the steelers resting guys? both allowed a team to secure a playoff berth

The Eagles players didnt quit. Their head coach quit on them.

The defense played hard despite playing with practice squad guys due to injury or covid. They only allowed 20 points.

The offense just wasnt good enough. That was what we watched all year whether it was Wentz or Hurts in there. They've stunk all year.

The head coach should've been fired walking off the field for what he did. If you're gonna move on to Hurts, why not let him finish the game and see what he could've done. It was a disgrace to put in Sudfeld who you knew what you had. Nothing. Pederson threw in the towel at that moment.

That said, the Giants have no one to blame but themselves. Maybe, just maybe, they should've won a couple more games and not allowed the Eagles to "screw" them. Its their own fault they were in that position to need someone else to take care of their business. Just like teams bitching about a bad ref call should never let it come to that, neither should a team that only won 6 games bitch that a 4 win team didn't do enough to help them at the end.. Be better.

Did you see him on the sidelines after they took him out of the game? He was all smiles. He certainly didn’t look like a player who had been benched for poor play

This wasn’t exhibition season. There was a lot at stake. The Eagles organization owed it to the league to compete at its very best. They were unprofessional and selfish last night. They made a mockery of the league.

the fact that he told everyone BEFOREHAND makes the entire organization culpable. He didn’t go rogue. This was a decision that was approved of by the entire organization because they didn’t say “bullshit... you compete for 60 minutes!”
