I believe I have a post on here somewhere in which I said with the Lions schedule and a slight stumble by the Eagles, that is a very real possibility. That loss to the Ravens was a tough one but I think the Lions could legit win 13 games. The Eagles do have a very tough schedule coming in the second half so we will see what happens. I'm kinda rooting for your boys Mebert. It's been a long time coming for you guys to be this optimistic.

I will note this, back when football players were just that. Guys got off the field if hurt., injured different story. I've never seen so many injured guys flop around on the field only to return in one or two plays. Maybe these guys just wanted some national attention.

The outcome could've been different if the Eagles went up 14-0 in the first and forced the 9ers offense to play catch-up more.

But it's obvious the Eagles have massive issues with the back end of their defense that's only manageable because of how dominant their defensive line is.

Well yeah the Eagles and Niners are clearly the best teams in the NFC and if they meet again, and likely in Philly, Eagles can win even though they got beat today

Only one real strong test for each team left...next week Eagles at Cowboys, and the Niners vs Ravens in a few weeks. Of course anything can happen in games you're 'supposed to' win but the Eagles schedule after next week gets nice and soft.

Welp, for the first time this year my OP looks

• Eagles 7-1 in 1 score games
• 1 score wins vs NE (2-10) and twice vs Washington (4-8)
• Loss to the 4-8 Jets
• Any given Sunday always applies in NFL
• Eagles defense #23 yards/#24 scoring - teams are moving the ball and scoring points
• Eagles offense #9 yards/#4 scoring

Due to any given Sunday hard to state any team is "Stone cold lock" to get to Super Bowl.... but if want to consider "lock" should be dominant on one side of the ball and probably top ten on the other side.

These teams looked more like "locks" in past 25 years to get to Super Bowl...

• 2007 Pats (#1 offense / #4 defense) - avg 8 more points a game than #2 offense
• 2001 Rams (#1 offense / #7 defense) - avg almost 6 more points a game than #2 offense

Both got to the Super Bowl (and lost).

Eagles may be favored to get to Super Bowl in NFC if they retain home field. But, I think if you can stop the run vs Eagles they are beatable... and the 49ers are one of the top run defenses.

Even if they lose this weekend, the Eagles are in solid shape to win the division. If both teams have the same record, the Dallas loss to NFC Arizona would mean the Eagles have the tie breaker because of conference record. However, I don’t see the Niners losing again this season. They’re the favorite for the bye and number 1 seed.
