Great point.Nothing happens until there is new ownership , then the options open up

If he is not, then I am.Its risky as well if Snyder is still around because there isn't a first time coach he hasn't rode roughshod over. Even handpicked Spurrier felt the Danny's wrath. Then again Snyder's rode roughshod over experienced HCs as well which is reason #26352816 why he needs to be gone for good.
Who hasn't felt Dan's wrath? Lavar, Marty, Shanahan's, Cousin's, Cerrato, Allen, William's .... add some more. Its risky as well if Snyder is still around because there isn't a first time coach he hasn't rode roughshod over. True. I think the only one who never did was Joe Gibbs.Who hasn't felt Dan's wrath? Lavar, Marty, Shanahan's, Cousin's, Cerrato, Allen, William's .... add some more.
The Skins W/L record against winning teams in the RR regime.
Winning team is defined as such. When the Skins faced said team, that team had a W/L record of .500 or better.
In 2020 the Skins lost to the 1-0 Cardinals, the 1-1 Browns, the 2-1 Ravens and the 3-1 Rams. They did beat the 11-0 Steelers So in 2020 the Skins were 1-4 against teams that had a .500 or better records when they played Washington in the regular season . They then went 0-1 in the postseason against the 11-5 Bucs for an overall 1-5 W/L record against teams who were .500 or better.
In 2021 the Skins lost to the 2-1 Bills, the 2-2 Saints, and the 5-1 Packers. The Skins then defeated the 6-2 Bucs, the 5-5 Panthers and the 6-5 Raiders. They then lost to the 8-4 Cowboys, the 10-4 Cowboys and the 8-7 Eagles. So in 2021 against teams that were .500 or better the Skins were 3-6.
in 2022 the Skins have lost to the 2-0 Eagles, the 2-1 Cowboys and the 2-2 Titans. They defeated the 3-3 Packers, the 3-3-1 Colts, lost to the 6-1 Vikings, then beat the 8-1 Eagles. Tied the 7-4 Giants, then lost to the 7-5-1 Giants to presently sit at 3-5-1 against teams that were .500 or better with 2 games against teams that will be .500 or better in the 9ers n Cowboys who are both 10-4 at present.
So in his 2+ years as HC. RR is 7-16-1 against teams who've had a .500 or better record when they faced the Skins. That's a .312 winning percentage against these teams with 2 games pending against teams in this category.
If the Skins win those 2 games that'll make them 9-16-1 giving the Skins and RR a .365 winning percentage in such games.
Losing both and going 7-18-1 would mean a .288 winning percentage
And going 1-1 would mean 8-17-1 would mean a .326 winning percentage.
Are any of those finishes worthy of another season or contract for RR in your mind?
Yup. Give the new owner(s) the pleasure of shitcanning everbody.Nothing happens until there is new ownership , then the options open up
If that's the case can we here at the forum at least agree that Howell needs to see some real game action, preferably sooner than later, to see what the Skins have with him. Or are there still peeps here on the Taylor bandwagon.Seeing as it will probably take a few months to close any sale, RR will be here next year. Dan will not bother to find his replacement if he is selling, and any new owner won’t have time to build a new front office. So, for 2023, we will have the same staff evaluating talent, making pics and trades, and coaching this team.
I absolutely agree. We need to know what we have in him before the draft. It makes a huge difference if we need to get a QB in the off-season, or is he a guy we can build around. If we can use our top picks to beef up our OL and LB corps and not Qb, we will be in a great position to make a legitimate run.If that's the case can we here at the forum at least agree that Howell needs to see some real game action, preferably sooner than later, to see what the Skins have with him. That ship has sailed, homey, at least far as this year goes. There isn't enough game time to get an accurate read on what Howell is or isn't this year.I absolutely agree. Saw a report yesterday that four bids have been received and all are over $7B.Nothing happens until there is new ownership , then the options open up
i saw that as well , it will be nice when its done and some of us can be fans againSaw a report yesterday that four bids have been received and all are over $7B.
I don’t know. If we lose today and the playoffs are a fart in the wind, I’d play him the last two games. We can tell in two games is the situation is too big for him. I’ll say this about TH, the situation never appeared to overwhelm him. Even when he had a bad play, he shrugged it off and often came back with a big play. That ship has sailed, homey, at least far as this year goes. There isn't enough game time to get an accurate read on what Howell is or isn't this year.
Payton and Fangio was always my dream pairing. Fangio runs a 34 though. Definitely an upgrade. Now he would be an upgrade over RR. He would also attract top talent in FA, especially at QB.
