since the CDCFC/ SDFC / Puppets feel trading for smith was this huge coup i brought up another trade candidate in our ever ending quest to a thrift store rather then moving forward

his name is Andy dalton First plus he is 31 yrs old going into next season not 34

but here are his numbers in his 7 year career

63-44-2 record and 0-4 in the playoffs

his passing stats are 62% 25534 yds 7.2 avg 167 tds and 93 INTS with an 88.7 rating

here are CDC's / steve debergs

his record is 88-62-1 , his playoff record is 2 -5 , he is a 12 yr pro , (keep and eye on that )

his passing stats are 62.4 % 31888 yds 183 TDS 96 INTS 87.4 rating

now let compare , ratings are about equal so that is a wash

wins CDC has 25 more wins in 5 more service years anyone doubt dalton can get 25 more wins out of 80 future games ?

TDS anyone doubt dalton cant throw for 16 tds in 80 games , that would tie CDC's mark

INTs smith has only 3 more over 12 years check in the CDC column

YDS 31888 to 25534 a mere 6000
yd difference over 5 yrs , anyone doubt dalton cant hit that in 80 career games ?

add to it gruden knows dalton and dalton knows the offense

now was he available ? eh if AJ is what people think he is then yes

now for the contract , he earns 13.7 mil in 2018 and CDC 17 mil so we gain in cap space but get this with CDC we are committed to him for 3 years because of the cap hit
with dalton there is no cap hit after 2018

his cost the next 2 years after 2018 is 16 mil in (19) and 17.5 mil in( 20 )

this guy can do everything CDC can and can do it slightly better for less cost with an out if he fails . with steve deberg we have an anchor on us in terms of advanced age and dead cap space if we wanted to move on

now if 396 had waited perhaps we could have made a better deal

I had my eye on Dalton until they brought Marvin back. Once they did that I assumed Andy was staying put.

Dalton’s stats are better, but I’m with you, Smith looks like a better QB on the field.

Agree he simply doesn't fit here. It would be like using a Rubix cube at a bowling alley.

Because we now have a QB and the point of this post is to simply stir the crap in the pot. Move forward dad and accept what's done is done. If you are a true fan of the team then root for whomever dons the uniform. I don't give two sheets about a guy who is not part of the team. Btw, I like Daltons play and Gruden is definitely responsible for some of his success. Smith too will ultimately have success under Gruden as well.
I think Gruden will go down as a type of QB whisper however, as a coach his overall success will be measured by wins/losses and he will never reach the pinnacle of success which is a SB.

well let me clue you in in 2015 the SDFC didnt move forward . they critiqued every pass and every play and assigned blame . in 2016 the same crowd did the same thing , in 2017 they did it again , wash rinse and repeat

so guess what ? you are likely to see much more of this from me and the "high road " card will lead to a dead end because i am not going to let anything go at this time . i am sick and tired of people talking about taking a high road they wont take themselves . for 3 years mind you this went on so now you can get the same if i so choose to .

i was told we had no other options then making the dumbass trade . i put one up , stiring the pot or not . you dont like it poor the damn pot into the sink and move on like you are telling me

so if you dont like it , dont care about it or anything else that is your right and you can simply scroll through it if you choose but make no mistake i will stand on my platform and say whatever i want to about this subject until my disgust of this trade has waned period

Jaguars are giving QB Blake Bortles a new three-year, $54 million deal, worth up to $66.5M with incentives, that includes $26.5M guaranteed, tying him to Jacksonville through the 2020 season, per source.

Jacksonville out of QB market.

Gruden worked for Lewis, not the other way around. I believe that Gruden wouldn't want Dalton here and that says a lot.

If we not going RB in the 2nd. I'd rather go corner. It looks like we may very well lose Fuller and Breeland. Something has to be done there. If Norman gets hurt, you are looking at Dunbar and Moreau on the outside, with Holsey in the slot.

This is with Jeffrey, Odel, and Dez in the division.

we wouldnt be in that situation if we had kept fuller and simply signed a FA qb since we moved on from KC . be that as it may , we need to pick up a cb

drafting rudolph would be the perfect way to go since we did trade for steve deberg . he can groom his replacement again as defining his career again for what it is

Geeez we do things ass backwards, If only we had upgraded from Colt McCoy as suggested years ago, we would not be in a position to have to face losing Kirk or sign a free agent QB.
