While true, Johnson's Detroit team ran one of the top 2 TE offenses in the NFL last season. Errm, forget the name of the formation, 12 man? Johnson ran a LOT of 12 man. Like the most in the NFL or at the least top 3-4 teams running that formation. (At least I believe I read that somewhere). Anyway, if he plans to do the same in Chicago, he will need a Second TE that is at least as good as Kmet.Cole Kmet is the epitome of your basic, average NFL TE.
And that's okay. In a good offense that is coached well...he could have a really nice season.
