Your retarted
Here's my updated top 10 BPA, subject to change, natch. All 10 will be gone by the time we're on the clock for the 39th, so I'm expecting one of these boys to become a Bear:
1. Abdul Carter, Edge - A sure goner by the time we pick, but he's my number one talent in this draft, so he needs to be listed here.
2. Mason Graham, DT - Maybe not a sure goner, but the odds are great that he won't be there for us.
3. Ashton Jeanty, RB - Assuming those other two are gone and if he's still waiting to be pick, he'll wait no longer.
4. Will Campbell, OT - 'Short arms' aside, he's simply the best and most athletic OL in this draft.
5. James Pearce, Edge - A bit on the slender side for a Dennis Allen edge, but it's hard to ignore his sheer speed and impressive production the past two seasons.
6. Shemar Stewart, Edge - Extremely athletic, his sack numbers underwhelm, but this behemoth's QB pressures and stout run defense seem tailor made for what Allen likes in his DEs.
7. Omarion Hampton, RB - If Poles is determined to take a RB with the 10th pick and Jeanty is off the boards, Hampton makes for a more than satisfactory alternative.
8. Kelvin Banks Jr, OT - He's an iron man and great fit for either the OT or OG positions.
9. Josh Simmons, OT - Still need to see proof that he'll be a full go by draft time or at least convince everyone he'll be ready by camp.
10. Armand Membou, OT - One of the fastest risers in this draft, his only 'drawback' is he's pretty much a RT only, maybe a RG as well. And we're set at those two spots.
Honorable mentions:
Walter Nolan, DT
Kenneth Grant, DT
Jalon Walker, OLB/Edge
Tyler Warren, TE
I wanted to find a spot in the top 10 for a second DT, but the edge and OL took up the majority of spaces. Assuming the likelihood of Carter and Graham being long gone, we can slip one or both of Nolan/Grant into the listing. Walker is considered a consensus top 10 pick, but he seems better sized and fitted for a 3-4 lineup. I only have Warren here because I can't rule out Poles taking him, but it's possible he'll be gone by then or if he's still there, maybe he'd be the perfect bait for trading back.
