Ouch.
AFC always beats up on the NFC during the season, the NFC is soft.
Interesting, because I think the top 2 teams in the NFL are held for the NFC.
1. Seattle
2. San Francisco
3. Denver
4. either New England? Houston?
5. New Orleans? Atlanta?
Pretty sure that the top teams in the NFC had much better records against the AFC than did the top AFC teams against the NFC last year.
Yeah, that 7-1 is really misleading when you consider half those games are AFC west v. NFC least. And that top 5 list may want to include Green Bay as well.
Speaking of the west, isn't it ironic that just 3 years ago, message boards all over the internet were filled with people talking about both the NFC and AFC west being designated to arena football or the CFL or not allowed a play-off berth. Now they are both arguably the best divisions overall in each conference.

The rise of Seattle and SF last year, along with the solid defenses in AZ and St. Louis, really exemplified how quickly things can turn around in the league. So far this year, the evidence suggests that the AFCW is likely to reenforce that point.
