ACC COY has to be Buzz Williams or Brad Brownell. Both took squads that weren't highly thought of during the pre-season (or even after the OOC slate) and both won 10 ACC games.

I say Buzz, but I'm not surprised to see VT have a good season despite what they were projected to finish. They finished at the bottom of the league for the past few seasons, but they have been collecting some solid talent. It was only a matter of time before they finally put it all together.

Hearing that Brogdon & Brice Johnson are co-POY, and Larranga is COY. If so, it's absolutely bullshit. Brogdon has scored in double digits in every game but one, which was the season opener where he only played 21 minutes. Brice Johnson has scored less than double digits in 3 games.

How Larranga gets COY is baffling. They were loaded with seniors.

Miami was projected to finish 5th. They finished 3rd.
VT was projected to finish next to last. They finished 7th, with 2 wins over top 10 teams.

I do agree that I think that Buzz definitely should've won coach of the year. The team looked competitive most games and even upset some teams they had no business beating in my opinion. They are only going to get better next year if the trend continues. They will just make the ACC even more of a formidable conference.
