Thanks for the info! As of 4:00PM the betting line has gone back to where it opened at Duke -6.5 but I'm sure the public is doing this since the sharps won't move this line until just about game time if they even bet this game at all. It will be interesting to see what this line closes at.

I just remember the last time I attended a game in Raleigh and it was when JJ Redick played at Duke and they were ranked #1 in the nation, they also had on that team Daniel Ewing, Sheldon Williams, Luol Deng, and Chris Duhon and State beat them(it was the RBC Arena then); and NC State had Julius Hodge, Scooter Sherrill, Marcus Melvin, and Ilian Evtimov, and Herb Sendek was coaching!

I hope Duke wins but good luck @tomcat1 and NO INJURIES!

I was at the game you mentioned too and if I remember correctly Redick hit a 3 from his hometown in Roanoke, Virginia along with more long 3s even in a Duke loss. Maybe we need Herb Sendek tonight but on second thought I'll pass on that.

Good luck to you too tonight my friend even though I don't think you will need it and to be honest with you I won't be upset if Duke wins because if they don't stumble I still think they have a good shot at a #1 seed in the big dance which I would like to see them get.

I agree, hopefully no injuries for either team!

Dave Odom might end up getting a banner at South Carolina too and just think, if he had not been smart enough to recruit a swimmer named Tim Duncan, who nobody went after, we might have never heard about Dave Odom on the big stage.

@tomcat1 So predictable

My friend, I'm still speechless about what happened last night but I'll give it a shot.

First of all, after we last communicated late yesterday afternoon, a friend of mine called me who has two season tickets and invited me to go to the game with him since his wife wasn't feeling well. So off I went to pick him up to take him out to dinner with plenty of time to spare before we arrived at the arena before game time. You know the rest of the story so I won't get into details about the game other than the place was electric and the Wolfpack was focused and highly motivated. With that said, revenge is deadly in all sports, particularly when a favored team is seeking same season revenge on their home court, so I'm sure our short trip to Cameron on March 2nd won't be pleasant.

I guess we will find out what Keats is made of because he only has a couple to days to get his team off cloud nine and back down to earth since Florida State will be here Saturday for an afternoon game. And oh by the way, the sharps (the 10% of sports bettors who make a good living betting on sports) won again last night as the betting line closed at Duke -5.5 -20 and if I had been here I would have joined them since I always follow the sharps whether it is on or against one of my teams.

Since 2010, Duke has lost 13 games at Cameron and 6 at PNC Arena.

That is an amazing stat that I can't begin to explain.

Here is another amazing stat, if true, that I heard on WRAL Sports tonight:

Last night's loss is the worse loss Coach K has ever had against a non ranked opponent.

It was just one of those nights that State beat Duke in every category except offensive rebounds and that was only a 2 rebound difference. Something tells me that we are going to be as flat as a pancake when the Seminoles come to town on Saturday afternoon but that's just the way sports works coming off an emotional high. I sure hope I'm wrong!

Odom's Wake Forest program was already on the upswing before Duncan showed up.

I also feel like history has vindicated Odom's time at South Carolina. Just not an easy place to win at.

Dave and I go back a long way even though he is a little older than me. We competed against each other many times when he played all three sports at Goldsboro High School just like I did at Broughton High School in Raleigh. We became friends and have attended many events together since that time. He introduced me to Tim Duncan, another fine man and a class act. I've told Dave many times in a joking manner that if he hadn't signed Timmy nobody would have ever heard of him and he always responds with "You're probably right." Anyway, long story shorter, after high school Dave went to Guilford College and then later got into coaching and I was blessed with the ability to play professional baseball so we didn't see each other for a few years but we did get together again recently at a sports banquet and yes, I teased him again about being nothing without Timmy. He just laughed.

My fellow ACC friends and fans:

This is not about the ACC but a HUGE game takes place tomorrow (Saturday) and the winner will probably be #1 in the nation when the new polls come out.

Kansas at Baylor -2.

Who you got?

Sorry Wolfpack... Any sort of clutch team would have beat us there... horrendous free throw shooting in that last 1:30.... lucky to win.

Be happy, not sorry. I predicted that my Wolfpack would be flat today after their huge upset win over Duke because that's just what happens to average teams.

As for your Noles, they are athletic, long, and they play great defense and I think they will go deep into the NCAA Tournament.

We've made it to at least the Sweet 16 3 of the past 5 years. This was supposed to be a down year, but partly thanks to a down ACC, we're on pace for our best regular season in a long time (if not ever).

This FSU team was highly underrated. I had them in my Top 10 preseason. Then again Florida Gainesville was my #1. LMAO.

You've got a good coach and his talented players play hard for him.

Don't feel bad . . . Michigan State was pre-season #1 and they are not even ranked now.
