Most expensive bench player ever?
Bro...both of those games were in OKC...and they were not b2b.Yes, OKC needs to be acknowledged as well for the amazing season they are having. They are a little less of a surprise because they were very good last year too, but back to back road wins over NY and BOS is impressive and a 15 game win streak. Well done, OKC, well done.
How a guy like that got a no trade clause is a lot of what’s wrong with the league
I can buy in to your 2 dynasty OKC/Cavs period. And that tends to be how things cycle. Which is why I don't like most of the salary cap rules that are designed to push parity and prevent dynasties. There have always been periods where there is a dynasty or 2, then it ends...we have a few years with no dynasties and then another emerges.
Right now, with the Warriors dynasty being over, we have a period of parity. But, from the looks of things, if OKC and the Cavs can keep enough of their cores together...we may be about to see a 2 dynasty period similar to what we got with the 80's Lakers and Celtics.
Even in the 80's, with the Lakers and Celtics dominating, the Sixers and Pistons each managed to sneak in and get a title and the Rockets made the finals twice.

Thought idea we had to make moves in offseason and needed to break up core 4 (as many suggested or even hoped) was absurd.....but, no, never expected anything like this.Wow! The Cavs are about to be 31-4. This is not being discussed enough. Honestly Cav's fans, did you see this coming??
wasn't just being young and first playoff experience that got them against NY? Not losing Wade, Allen and then Mitchell that got them against Cs?pretty awesome.
the thing this team needs to learn more than anything else is toughness- its what has gotten them in past years- the grit that it takes to win in the playoffs. They are confident and playing awesome right now and Garland and Mobley are getting better. I hope Allen steps up and is tough when it really counts.
Atkinson was a great hire and a perfect fit. Huge upgrade at head coach. He has really done a good job managing the bench too.
I love that guys like Mitchell are only playing 31-32 minutes a night in order to stay healthy.
Butler to the Suns for Beal?Whats cracking me up with some of these Butler trade ideas is Miami getting multiple firsts on top of starting level talent. If the dude was 32/33 maybe, but come on bruh hes gonna be 36 next season.
I sure as hell wouldnt offer him more than 3 years.
I don't think we win 65 and may not even win 60. Will depend on health and if 60 even needed to remain top seed.no one predicted the Cavs to be on a 70 win pace like they are right now.
If they get to 65 wins I think they will be ecstatic. That would be 17 losses. 47 games left. 65 wins would mean going something like 34-13 the rest of the way to get to 65 wins- which would def. not be easy.
you think they go at least 34-13 the rest of the way for 65 wins? I think its possible but id put it under 50%. Injuries happen- they have had a fairly unbalanced schedule on the easier side thus far...its hard to get to 65 wins.
Also needed an owner he knew would spend whatever was needed...so it was something more.they won one because lebron was from akron
nothing less, nothing more
