I think Phoenix is actually the one place that makes sense for Butler. That is if Beal wants to play in Miami.

Miami might even get an additional asset out if a deal like that because Beal contract is definitely worse than Butler’s.

Miami don’t want Beal or his contract. Only way Jimmy end up in phoenix is if it’s a 3 way deal where Beal lands with that 3rd team

I hate these tweets I see frequently on twitter about the nba and national tv games. This isn’t the nfl where every marquee game can end up on national tv as this is a sport that plays everyday. Also if you have espn/tnt, should you not have nbatv in your cable package if you are a sports fan? ESPN didn’t have games on Friday for whatever reason and Sunday isn’t a day for national tv games until after the Super Bowl.

Riley has been pissed about his lack of effort in the regular season for a while and Butler is not good enough anymore to overcome that. People will say oh he still is he just isn’t trying. At 36 thinking you can turn it on when you want is dangerous at best.

When you have the inmates running the asylum, then this sort of thing in Miami takes on a life of its own. Jimmy is going to lose this one and he could have just played out his contract and then moved on to some fool who is/would be willing to give him his Max contract which he seems to think he deserves.

Thing is, he's not going lose this. His money is guaranteed and will get traded eventually. He will also get a new contract. By this thing blowing up like it has, the Heat are losing leverage to get a fair return.
