Yeah, the defense has improved and should get even better if they ever get Vando back.

Offensively, outside of Lebron, AD and maybe Reaves, they don't have anyone that you have to game plan for, especially on the perimeter.

True, but how many touches are those players going to realistically get? Those three eat up most of the available shots. Play D, move the ball, take and hit the open shot role players.

The offensive flow, scheme, etc is completely different with JA. That’s why the ceiling is higher. Even inbounding the ball is much easier with KA than JB. Sorry but JB’s offensive scheme, pace and flow was just not good. Less dribbling, more passing. It’s a 180.
Yes having less injuries helps bc you can rest players and they have a lot of depth but there is a reason for that. The main difference is coaching. KA is a magician with guards, he has the track record to back it up too
No need to be sorry as there is no doubt the O now is much better. I love KA but despite what many think this 118-190 guy coming in did not invent the sport.

FYI, Mitchell had his best seasons here with JB and Garland went from arguably the worst starter in the sport to an all star under him. Cade and Ivey have been pretty good, too. what track record does he have to back anything up? Hopeful he builds on one this year, though.

The main difference is players/health, but coaching matters for sure.

Ivey injury sucks for them.

Kyrie Irving out at least a couple weeks with a bulging disc. Uncle Drew is coming.

Reaves is not expendable and is not going anywhere unless a superstar deal requires it. Reaves on that contract is too valuable. I don't think they'll move Knecht either. DFS will be that guy to defend 3s next to Lebron, should overtake Rui for the starting spot in the near future. Vando is ramping up towards returning to practice this month, would be a huge help defensively if he's right.

If they can work out a trade for Kessler, I think a trade with the Bulls for depth pieces like Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig makes sense. If they want to aim higher, I'd see what the Pels want for Dejounte, curious to see if they can get him cheaper now than they could've from the Hawks.

Having a real pg and not a sieve at d there would help.

His contract is ok but I don’t think it’s that much of bargain due to his regression on d

Their guard d is a major weakness right now and c depth

But their firsts shoudkbe for perimeter d

Use the seconds for c depth and sign biyombo

Top 10 rim protector and perimeter defender last year

Kings and Thunder are rumored to be the 2 leaders. Yes lesser firsts.

You have so many future picks you might as well throw in what you need to get whatever guys presti wants

2 firsts? Must be lesser firsts I guess... who are they competing against for Cam right now that can offer more?

Two firsts is a fair offer considering he’s locked in for 3 years

It would need a Rui/Gabe/Reaves/Vando package to match salaries essentially. They won't move Reaves, at least not for THAT contract.

Should, but won’t

Reaves is the new overrated laker
