Sorry, the Nuggets. The grandkids are here and a few of them are already talking about eating.

Chicken nuggets of all things.

As much as I want the Lakers to improve their seeding they may be better off as the 3rd or 4th seed. To avoid playing GS or Dallas in the 1st round if Dallas or GS come out of the play-in. Not saying they cannot beat either team but that series could weaken them moving forward. More confident in them facing Houston or LAC.

Eh it was bad. Its level of terrible hinges on AD being healthy.
It really wasn't.

AD improves their post play and defense plus they got a good young player in Christie. Sure, the Lakers got Luka plus 2 players included just for salary cap reasons. Neither helping.

Ok, 95 percent of the world disagrees with you. If AD breaks down the Mavs got Christie and a first for a top 5 mid 20s player

At best...AD gets and stays healthy...which makes the Mavs contenders. They were already contenders to a point because they made the finals last year...AD makes them contenders with a star level player in the middle. If they win a title...it becomes worth it.

What makes it bad is the ages. The Lakers got a guy they can build around for the next 7-10 years while the Mavs got a guy who, again, assuming he stays healthy can be "built around" for the next 3ish years.

AD came back early from the injury after the trade....he wanted to show out.

Healthy and the Mavs are a serious force in the WC postseason.

Mavs are in 10th place. We need to stop using the contender word for them this season. It ain’t happening

Irving would be stupid to leave Dallas and a 44 mill player option.

Plus, the best big man he has ever played with.

Kyrie will be 34 at the time of his next contract. Jimmy butler just got 55 plus mil annually at age 35.

Kyrie would be stupid to opt in to that contract next summer
