ESPN don’t want their C team doing these games. They look at Saturday night primetime as their marquee broadcast of the week
That game tonight is not a particularly deemed "marquee" game imho.
I'm sure it was hoped to being one a few weeks or so ago when originally scheduled nationally ...but not too much now.
I mean I really don't care one way or the other...it was just a thought.

Cavs played their best defense with Allen on the bench and Mobley at the 5. Inserting a combo of Wade, Strus and Hunter. If Boston goes “small” there is no need for Allen on the court imo
Cool, but this was maybe 1 quarter of one game. Allen on bench was not why Mobley started hitting his shots including a couple from 3. You claimed you worry about Allen in these matchups when the fact is the guy ended up playing O last night and played well to really well in the other matchups with the Cs.

will there be times he needs to be taken out? Of course. But thinking Porzingis should be back in playoffs making him even more useful.

I’m with you for the most part but just not on the last minute aspect. I always thought they should have a flex option for these games. They could have been made the switch to bucks/mavs for months now as Philly been bad all season

Correct Q. The Center that perhaps they should have went after and was available but Pelinka did nothing was probably Nick Richards. The better course of action was what evetually transpired and that was to wait to get the guy they really want and that would be Utah's Kessler or if he isn't available, somebody in the draft.

I'd like to know what the Lakers doctors saw.

From a talent perspective, Williams is exactly the type of player they need and he's only 23. Doesn't make a lot of sense that they would want to nix that deal if they think his injuries are behind him. Knecht is a nice player, but he's not a guy you allow to keep you from obtaining a 23 year old big who looks to be a perfect fit.

He's averaged playing in just 28.3 games per season for his first 3 years. That's a bit of a red flag. Unless and until they come out with what the Lakers doctors saw, I'm going to assume they think it's an Andrew Bynum situation.

Charlotte's response has been a bit sus too, imo. They trade him, when the trade gets rescinded, they make such a big deal about welcoming him back that it looks like they didn't really want to trade him...then they turn around and say they're thinking about challenging the trade being rescinded.

Given his injury history it is unlikely he is in the NBA in 5 years imo.

Put your money where your mouth is but it would be stupid to bet now not knowing injury situation. I don’t want to bankrupt you

Let's discuss if the series take place. The only thing stopping me from making the bet now is I don't know if I have it in me to root for Boston which I must do if i make the bet

I’m just glad the Cavs didn’t trade for Caleb “Steph curry only against Boston” Martin
