THRILLHO
that sounds dumb as shit.I've also played games with my friends where any disruption goes as long as you don't touch the guy trying to hit. That didn't turn out to be as much fun as we thought it might, though.

I don't think there's much more than that. It's just that those types of things really piss off people.Ok..
attire - I don't care what you wear.
music - earbuds or low enough so that it doesn't disturb other groups.
What else?
Yes. And guys like that eventually find themselves without playing partnersI think that's the thing non-golfers don't understand about golf. Your behavior out there can negatively impact others, unlike other sports like bowling, for example, where it doesn't matter at all what the guy a couple of lanes over is doing.
Not at all.Yes. And guys like that eventually find themselves without playing partners
You mean you can whine and bitch and moan about your game and they will still play with you? You sound like you got to excited and responded to the wrong post. Not at all.
I'll just keep playing with my friends who like to enjoy their time on the course.
Rat us out to the ranger, narc. Go for it.
My back nine average is 2+ strokes better than my front nine average. Its terrible. So many people can play a solid 9 holes but can't get it done for 18. It gives you a bad handicap when you have to play 18 in a tournament
Basketball is a sport, correct. Within the sport of basketball you can play 21, knockout, pickup, shoot around, etc.Golf is a sport and there are rules and guidelines as with any other sport.
If you joined a pickup basketball game and decided it would be fun to see how far you could punt the ball every time it came to you, I don't think that would go over very well with the other players on the court. Playing golf is the same deal. It isn't just about you.

Playing 6, 9, 12 or 18 holes doesn't change the sport of golf.
When is the last time a pickup basketball game had two 20 minute halves?
Not at all.

I am going to start paying for 9 and playing 12 when I don't want to do 18and nobody is stopping anyone from playing 6, 9, 12 or 18 holes of golf. I guess I don't understand where you're coming from with this.
Yea, I don't get what the problem is either.and nobody is stopping anyone from playing 6, 9, 12 or 18 holes of golf. I guess I don't understand where you're coming from with this.

already established I'm the scum of the course. So you think that you should be able to play more holes than you pay for? Interesting theory. Let us know how that works out.
already established I'm the scum of the course.
so of course I already do this.
"stealing from them"Nobody except for course management, who you would technically be stealing from, cares whether you do that either.. as long as you don't impede someone else's play.
I've never done that after paying for 9, because I almost never pay for only 9 and places check that you've paid for 18 when you make the turn. But I've played extra holes countless times after paying for and playing 18.
"stealing from them"
and how can you condemn me and then say how you play extra holes after playing 18?
Which is the reason I say we should not be recording 9 hole scores. My back nine average is 2+ strokes better than my front nine average.
No, you said we shouldn't because people can't keep up a good round for a full 18. My point was that for me, I get better with the full 18. Literally the opposite of what you said.Which is the reason I say we should not be recording 9 hole scores.
