I'm saying if we fail to sign garza. Although Kuroda has been better over his career

No thanks. No telling when he'll fall off the cliff. With all the young pitching talent we have it would be foolish to spend the money on Kuroda.

Hmm do rangers go after Cuban star jose Adriel abreu at first base? He's going to command more money than puig and cesepedes

Unless I see something for the rest of the season I'm not expecting, I can't imagine the Rangers go into the off season with a 2014 planned OF of Rios/Martin/Gentry, with Beltre/Butler being backups. My point is, we're probably going to sign someone, and frankly, it ain't going my hurt my feelings if we resign Cruz. But regardless of who we sign, we're going to have to commit $12+ mil (give or take) out there.

I don't feel whatever we do in the OF will have a huge overbearing presence about signing Garza. Some of the Rangers thinking may well be to see how Lewis and Harrison both do rehabbing, plus what we get outta Ogando for the rest of this season.

I think the probably re-sign Cruz to a melky type deal.

You're being to skeptical. He's as solid as they come

You got to think New York will be a Big player in the off season. Yanks have nothing going but Kuroda. CC looks done, Petite is 41. he be gone, A-Rod gone, Jeter getting older , lame
Need some Power, less than 100 HR's, Nelly Cruz has family in NY??
Rivera is gone, Nathans in NY??:noidea:

Good points! But Jeter ain't getting older, he's done also! Cruz loves it here and the team loves him. That said, if NY offers 3 years at $15 mil per, he's so gone!

Nathan is under "team option" for next season, I think? I'd have no problems with seeing Joe go, and he's from NY so this may be a perfect fit. Besides, it seems we have some options available for the closer role in Ogando, Feliz and Scheppers.

Elvis since all star break .319/392/429/821. I like what I see

Definitely been an important part of the current stretch of wins. He really started picking it up in July, following a terrible June.

There sure were a lot of folks over on the other site - the Evil Empire one - who wanted to throw EA under the bus! I've been defending him like crazy, despite his half season troubles.

Great to see him come around, and his timing is impeccable!
