Hopefully Yu doesn't take the Astros lightly
If he doesn't try to be too cute he will be fine.
If he throws 55MPH curves down the middle, it won't matter that he's facing the Astros.

I'm down in south Texas and don't get to see many of the games. And today was no exception.

But if they had a star today it was the young man with the complete game! Not even debatable, from following the game online anyway!

Do you have the local Fox Sports cable channel? I thought as long as you had that then you could access and watch both Astros and Rangers game. I know with FSSW I can watch every Astros game with my package.

Like I said, they're doing it now, likely to continue, a extra day here and there isn't going to change much

And its not Beltre's call anyway, thats why Wash is the coach, nothing wrong with keep the guys as fresh as possible esepcially since Beltre always seems to miss some time due to hamstring injuries

I don't think DH'ing is really a rest to be quite honest, so it's just a strange argument. I'll fully admit I do not like Profar at third...Beltre is just too good

SS great, 2nd sure

But whatever, it is what it is. As long as we are winning

TEX 2.5 back of BOS ... 2.0 back of DET ... closing on #1.

Boston down 4-3 at KC in the bot of 8th. Just looking at Bos schedule for the rest of the way. Extremely difficult. Only 11 games left with teams with losing records

Rangers 3-0 on trip for homer-less games. Before this, 9-26 for homer-less games.

Eh I hardly watch Astros game but if the Rangers are off and no other baseball is one other than the Astros I'll tune in just to get my baseball fix.

They better not rely on the homer going forward.

There was so much baseball to be played. It's baseball and it's a long ass season. Never get too high and certainly never get to low.

You're so right on the "long ass season." And the dog days determines at least 70% of who goes into the post season and who doesn't. You see it every season, it gets hot and 120 games in and some teams start folding and others keep on churning!

Today, I'm really pleased and proud how this team has hung tough!

In the sticks today too. Same here following on mlb at bat andSoto, Martin, Profar, Rios, Beltre, but PEREZ complete game showed grit. Loved the strikeouts after getting in trouble. Go Rangers!

This is company provided, free cable. It can't be altered in any fashion. And to be honest, I haven't the foggiest idea what package we have. It's not great, and not just because of the Ranger games. But I can't beat the price, so I'll grin and bear it.

Here's a burr under my saddle about how some folks are looking at the Rangers. Actually, the A's too. They give us crap because our division is weak, in comparison to say the NL Central. But what the hell? We play the schedule which is predetermined and try to beat the team in front of us! Nothing we can do but stay focused and not play down to the competition. It just kind of chaps my butt a little! And besides, the good divisions/bad divisions seem to run in cycles.

Yep. It doesn't mean I am any less passionate than anybody else. Been a die hard since I've had a conscience but I guess I'm weirdly wired.

Nah, you're wired normally much like myself, everyone else is just too high strung
