The first base competition will be one of the final decisions regarding the #Rangers 30-man roster. Greg Bird has an out in his contract and the club needs to inform him by tomorrow whether or not he’ll make the team.

I don’t think he makes it. Bet Frazier is playing 1B and IKF at 3B.

Re outfield. Love LT on base but Scott H has a good shot to be that speed defensive replacement. Bat looks decent

ive been crapping on him for years, but I hope it’s not Condor or Guzman. The guy just can’t hit at a position that teams usually put one of their best hitters at.

I know the rangers blatantly favor their home grown guys like Odor in ways that no other teams would dare to do, but enough is enough.

the condor stinks at hitting and I only want to see him as a late inning replacement.

you know what’s depressing?

we’ve already seen more then enough of Odor and the guy is only 26. He could be our 2nd baseman for the next 10+ years.

He has a very good shot at being the MVP in this kind of season. I believe I mentioned that a few weeks back and I mentioned that that could get him an extension. He can put together extremely good 35-40 game stretches and that is all it would take.

That has nothing to do with him turning a corner in the traditional sense though. He has turned a lot of corners. It is like he is a NASCAR driver. He goes around in circles. He turns and speeds off in one direction and eventually he turns and starts speeding off in the opposite direction.
