How many wins will it take to make the postseason?

A couple of times recently it only took 86. Other times about 90 or low 90s.

How many wins are we trying to build the 2023 roster to achieve?

I would say shoot for 92

I love the idea of trying to get David Bednar from the Pirates.
I wonder what they would want.
They could use a decent cheap controllable SP like Otto.
Maybe a prospect like Taveras or Foscue or Duran and then maybe a young reliever like Brett Martin?

Meanwhile, Spencer Howard still has a roster spot.

Jim Callis selects 10 sleeper prospects from the AFL.

Grant Wolfram, LHP, Rangers (Surprise)

Wolfram impressed with his mid-90s fastball and mid-80s slider, limiting Fall League hitters to a .147 average while striking out 13 in 9 2/3 innings.

not sure where the hostility is coming from. We had a few guys who just didn't pan out. Allard was one of them. If Odorizzi can stay healthy, give us 30+ starts and toss up a 4.30 ERA I will take that any day.
I not being hostile. I just object to him calling this a great trade. If he’s so great why did Houston get rid of him mid season. And Boston didn’t hang on to him. Tells me they didn’t think he was not that good.

no worries. he's not an ace or torp by any stretch. but should be an improvement over the likes of Howard, Folty, and the other spares.

I didn't say he was great. I said it was a great trade for the position he will fill. There is a very big difference between the two.

Leaves Cody, Bradford, Englert, Crim and Wendzel very vulnerable. The list is in order of vulnerability as I see it, with Cody being the most vulnerable.

Every one of those six are more deserving of a roster spot than Howard is.

More cash from Atlanta for Santana. They can throw that cash and some more at Kodai Senga.

The rule 5 draft takes place on Dec 7th
If the Rangers made some trades and ended up with a few spots left open could they add other guys to the 40 man between now and Dec 7th?
Like Mason Englert for example
