Lol at all the comments thinking this messes up the Rangers plans. If this is true it is exactly what the Rangers needed and wanted to happen.
Senga interests me and the high end of the SP market to me is risky.Spend the money on Perez and Senga. If that doesn't work out, save the money for Darvish and get Perez and one of the many other lesser pitchers.
If we need to, we can trade at the deadline or a year from now.
The whole final product does not have to be built this offseason.
Not even reading the comments Heyman does have his hatersLol at all the comments thinking this messes up the Rangers plans. If this is true it is exactly what the Rangers needed and wanted to happen.
No.Assuming the Rangers had $80 million to spend and are definitely shooting for playoff contention next year, would y’all be happy about this:
Perez-$19 mil per year
Bassitt-$22 per year
Rizzo-$17 per year
Benintendi-$15 per year
Matt Moore-$7 mil per year
$80 million
Trade Otto & Duran for David Bednar

I would rather have Abreu over Rizzo. No to Benintendi and Bassit. Yes to MooreAssuming the Rangers had $80 million to spend and are definitely shooting for playoff contention next year, would y’all be happy about this:

Maybe differ r starting pitcher and a closer. May we Robertson
Benitendi did not look like a big upgrade in NY and costs a roster spot. Bassitt looked good in the past but it seems hits stats are not with the QO right? and commitment needed. Rather wait a year for a better group of FA pitchersYou say no to Benentendi and Bassitt but i feel those are the 2 guys who will play well across their contract and will look like bargains in hindsight.
Like 3 years from now when we look back at the top 50 mlb free agent prediction list those are the 2 in the top 15 that will be the best values.
Kind of like Michael Brantley and Charlie Morton in the 2018-2019 free agent period
