i guess the market is afraid that MP will regress. $19m is way more than he's ever made in a single year, and if he duplicates 2022, he'll be in line for a huge payday.

I don’t see how Odorizzi is a A+ move. Trading for an ace would be a A+ move. Odorizzi is no ace. With close to a 5 era, he would be a fifth starter on most teams.

The trade was a great trade. We traded a guy we were about to release for a guy who can pitch in our rotation.

No one said it was for an ace. They never had to trade for an ace this offseason.

Our rotation got upgraded with Odorizzi. We have 5 spots to fill and him at #5 is an upgrade.

Duran is playing his fourth game in winter ball this evening. It is his second game in a row in LF. That gives him 2 games in LF, 1 game in CF and 1 game at 3B.

There are about 9 or 10 guys who are on our 40-man roster who are probably in danger of being put on waivers or traded. Of course all of them aren't going, but it seems like any of them could. I would think close to half or more will be.

How much would a similar SP free agent cost in years and $$?
He had a 103 ERA plus the first half with Houston this year, 102 last year and a 129 ERA + in 2019.
A similar ERA+ pitcher that’s currently a FA would be Zach Efflin who’s predicted to get 2/$22 million
