I remember Perez mentioned something late in the year that indicated he would be fine with a 2 year deal.

I know some folks use the word "couple" loosely, but hopefully in this case that means Martin is looking for a 2 or maybe 3 year deal.

This is what I was referencing. It was longer ago than I thought so I had a hard time finding it.

How would y’all feel about Conforto on a 1 year pillow contract to take over LF?
I like the 1 year deal because I feel Zavala should be ready come 2024

I also like Wil Myers and Mitch Haniger on 1 year deals.

I want LF solidified going into the season..

Me too. Thompson will get better and Leody needs 2023 to get his hitting worked out if he can. If he succeeds we could have a very good OF. If not, we will have to depend on a younger mil guy or FA.

Agree about injuries and such but that can be handled by Smith or Duran and acquire a FA in 2024 if need be. IMO.

Smith and Duran might not be around once the season begins.
The rangers want 3 SP(1 being Perez), bullpen reinforcements and possibly another bat at LF/DH/1B.
They’re liable to trade one or both of them. Won’t be able sign 6 guys and make the 40 man roster crunch work… i dont think?

I think Josh Smith is the starting left fielder when the season starts. I think you could see both him and Duran in the OF with Garcia before July.

I don’t think Cody Bradford and David Garcia make the 40 man IMO. I’m probably wrong but just my point of view.
I think Garver and unfortunately, Spencer Howard make it over those 2.
I also believe 2 maybe 3 of those guys end up being traded.
Vanasco, Barlow and a free agent invite would probably take other 3’s spots

I thought Vanasco is on the 40
Garver is on the 40
Also not sure of Bradford or Garcia or Wendzel
Think we keep Barlow
I hope they add Crim. He is risky

These are my immediate thoughts. Sure I am
Missing something and yes some trades might shake this up
