Apparently, a battle for CF is brewing between Taveras and White. I am in favor of White winning the job while Taveras gets more time in the minors.

Jeff Wilson reports that the final two rotation spots have seven potential candidates vying for what could be four roster spots to fill two slots in the rotation. The Rangers seem to have decided to revive the, previously once quickly discarded, option of using a piggyback system for two rotation slots. That is where two different starters pitch in one rotation slot, where each pitches 3 or 4 innings in those games. So there will probably be four starters chosen to make up two slots in the rotation.
