So another one of the mega dollar income teams signed a decent player to mega dollars.

I wonder if will do them any good in the near future considering they stunk almost as much as the Rangers last year? Spending money doesn't necessarily translate into wins especially if you suck at judging what talent to spend your money on...

Could not agree more. Seem that teams forget that only one wins the WS. At some point the owners will wake up and realize there really is a ceiling.

Haven't we been hearing that for at least 40 years though? They will never, ever wake up. It will never happen unless the whole league goes bankrupt or unions are outlawed, and neither one of those is going to happen.

I wonder how many teams are owned by people that don't really know baseball and those owners can't seem to find anybody with enough knowledge to run the team correctly???

I wonder how many players there have been over the years that have the talent to be a MLB player and didn't because they didn't have the right mindset, or coaches or friends.???

And how many current players are there that should be better than they are but aren't because of not having the right mindset, or coaches or friends.??? (Can you say Roogie)???

So I.E. there is a whole lot of guessing going on as to how to pick the right players to help you win it all

But one thing is for sure you have to have the right atmosphere surrounding those players you've chosen to help them grow and succeed...

I think Fordman left the board and Romeo only checks in about every 3 or 4 months or so. He could probably do it, if you can remember to ask him about it when he stops by.

I wasn't able to ever get any banners updated when I was a mod, certainly can't now. The owner here only shows up when the ad revenue drops, doesn't care to actually fix anything broken or out of date.
