Honestly not sure I could root for him due to Astro bias but also obvious cheating re trash cans etc.
I hope he is overpaid elsewhere
Heard that, his recent interview about free agency also made me think, “wow this guy is kind of a douche”
I’d rather have Story for less years and money.
Good dude from this area

What’s the most you would be ok with on a Correa Contract?

Mine would be $320 over 10
I wouldn’t love it but I would ok with it. And excited for the next few years.

I think it takes at least 10/350 for Correa. My gut tells me 10/375 is what he ends up with. If the Rangers offered him 10/350 and he turned it down and got more somewhere else, I'm OK with that.

Now? Absolutely fucking not.

After next year? Depends on how the season goes.
I would for the right package.
I have a feeling he will be a .230/.270/.420 .690 OPS type guy next year.
I think we might be able to get a good return for him and then easily replace him with a player who will outperform him on the FA market.

The flip side of that coin is that other teams wouldn't offer much for him, because if the Rangers are willing to trade him, then he must not be very valuable.

Yeah most likely. Or maybe a perfect match somewhere for a pitcher. Would probably have to include another player or 2

We don't know for sure what we have so I'm pretty sure other tems don't either. May come a time we have to do something but not now.

We have Garcia under control for the next few years I think. He's got a lot of potential, and if he can get better as a hitter he will be a beast. I would like for that beast to be in our RF if at all possible.

Speaking of Garcia...

I was out of town when Blake posted this so if it's been mentioned here before, sorry.

Yeah it's to early to make a move now. Wonder if Seattle ever thought about letting Beltre go to us.

Are you talking about Adrian Beltre?

No one is untouchable, but we would have to be really overwhelmed for me to be glad it happened.

Do you think he stays in RF longer than you think Gallo does? I would have never considered either of them anywhere near old enough to have to move, but you seemed to indicate earlier that you thought Gallo wasn't long for RF.

Adolis is under control for 5 more years. I hope in a couple of years we are tempted to extend him.
