The Rangers seem to like to draft "athletes" that play multiple positions rather than guys who are one position, hence their habit of going after players that currently playing "premium" positions...

And yet, in the big leagues, over the last 20 to 25 years, it seems the guys they have drafted as corner guys, like Teixeira, Blalock and Gallo have had the most success. Kinsler was one of the exceptions. You could throw Davis and Moreland in that list of corner guys too.

Jung, most likely, will prove to be one of the better draft picks of the last decade, as a corner guy, as well.
