It will take a good sales presentation, but FA have signed with bad teams enough for it to seem reasonable.True, but you have to convince the ones looking for a ring that they can get one here, if they believe you good, if not (like in the past) they will look elsewhere
The team still has a lot of decisions to make and weeding out to do with current players all through the system to do for next year. So don't be surprised if they don't sign anybody you consider to be high quality this year even though they are saying they will. One thing is for certain they will sign 3-4 players, they always do it seems... SP seems to be the biggest need with alot of the younguns being on innings restrictions. You only have so many roster positions to shuffle bodies thru to eat up those 1458 or more innings...
And absolutely signing a SS this year isn't that pressing when next years crop are no slouches, maybe not as young and attractive though. And by then you may not want to...![]()
Getting enough innings out of the young guys we have shouldn't be that big of a deal if management decides to go in that direction.
