well, you had three posts this morning referencing EG and how he was off base; one of which was you debating with him on Twitter.

I don't think any of us consider EG (or any local or national writer) to be a wise baseball savant. He reports on what has happened and guesses about what will happen. I think everyone here has disagreed with his opinions many times over. Continuously pointing out how he's wrong about something seems obsessive at this point.

It's the same with things that JD/CY/Woody have said to the media. You're on this mission to highlight when there are inconsistencies with what they say and what actually happens. Even if people put a lot of stock into those soundbites - which they shouldn't - things change. Situations change. What was true yesterday may not be true tomorrow.

I guess in the whole scope of things surrounding Rangers baseball, there are going to be some facets that some fans think are worth mentioning while others do not. There are posts on here that I have very little interest in, and so, I would expect most of mine would be viewed that way as well by different people on here.

The reason for multiple mentions of him this morning was because something I read from Jeff Wilson that seemed to indicate a completely different opinion than the one Evan so stubbornly put forth and acted as if was a certainty. I had no idea when I wrote it that the Tigers signing Rodriguez was breaking. At that point it was more than just different opinions.

I will continue to post links to articles by our local beat guys and discuss what they have to say. When there is something of note from the national media I will do the same. I will also discuss their opinions and their information they get from sources. I won't apologize for that. If I am obsessed with anything it is with the Rangers. That is why I will discuss the opinions of guys like Evan, Wilson, and Newberg.

I really didn't understand your analogy since Newberg is over the top positive. That is evident to even someone like me who viewed Joey much more favorably than most on here did.

If it annoys you to see me mention certain things, I am sorry, but I think all of us feel that way at times about what others post. I would imagine there are some who would rather not see my posts about our prospects, but I will keep on making those types of posts. A forum like this is going to cover a lot of different things and most likely, no one is going to be interested in all of them.

Also, the issue Evan and I were discussing is one that is a very important issue this offseason.

@saddles keep on posting especially all that MILB side. You are definitely passionate to the point of controversy lol.

And yes we don’t always agree but you do inform. As well as others. This is a pretty active Rangers baseball community Probably more than most on this site

Still don’t like the opt out. If he does great he opts out. If the going rate rises he opts out. If he is injured or ineffective he opts out. If I was club highest rate would be last two years

Yep, we are all going to disagree with others occasionally. And, we are all going to roll our eyes when someone posts too much about something we aren't interested in.

I had no problem with Ephland critiquing my choice of topic. He wasn't hateful or condescending about it in the least.

We have a pretty passionate group of guys on here and everything is good.

Today is Trevor Story's birthday. The Rangers should give him a great birthday present.

understand me, if the Rangers sign Suzuki, Story and Kershaw i will be overjoyed and cheer for all 3 with equal gusto it is just that i can't shake the doubt that Suzuki's performance will be anywhere near what we're seeing from him in the JPN. i hope i'm proved wrong

I find it interesting it's just Correa or Story, and not any of the others.
Yeah a bit of Yankee arrogance IMO. Go big or go home
