Where did five catchers come from. I think three depending on what they do with Huff. Don't know why we upgrade OF either. Guess we will know a little later as moves begin to happen.
Will be interesting what we will do with Andrus and Odor.

We currently have 4 catchers on the 40 man roster. He mentioned 5 because he added a potential upgrade for a backup as a possibility. That won't happen though. If we sign someone to backup Trevino then we would no doubt cut Aramis Garcia.

Now who is this? Of course we can upgrade. Just don’t see us doing it at catcher except maybe end of ST. Not going to roster 5 catchers
We have one OF too many and have gone back and forth with Herget. Not going to give up the LAD rule 5 guy. So 3 are expendable pending upgrade but why upgrade OF?

I am not advocating for an upgrade, nor am I certain that they will. I am just saying, that if they choose to, there is ample roster fodder that can be jettisoned to make room.

Keep in mind, we were speaking of the 40 man roster. I would imagine there will only be two catchers on the 25 man roster. Most likely that will be Trevino and either Aramis Garcia or a free agent.

David Garcia and Sam Huff will be on the 40 man roster, but probably not on the 25 man roster.

40 man threw me. Do think Huff goes to AAA. Trevino and some FA mans the 25.

As of now, it appears that Elvis is destined to be our backup at 2B/3B/SS. I would imagine Culbertson is signed just in case something happens to that plan, something like an injury to IKF or a trade involving Elvis.

I know. Just hate to think it might also be Odor should Solak gets hurt or Odor might back up Elvis. Who knows for sure
