I doubt if he fits but if we get value, I don’t care. Always can trade away him or others. But yes this does not look like sometime pursued or now. Just the messengerWould he fit in with our rebuilding plans?
Is this just another case of the national media not knowing what the Rangers are doing?
Yeah I would prefer giving our young pitchers a chance and we have time since we are not expected to go far in 2021While he may be good.. I don’t think we’re in a position to sign him.
If the team was loaded and we already had a couple of awesome pitchers we acquired through trade which depleted our farm system he would be a nice signing as a #3-#5 starter on a 4-5 year deal with the hope that he might be better than anticipated and fill a gap until the next round of pitching prospects are drafted and move up.
I think he will be a 4.2-4.8 ERA pitcher in the MLB. Not bad but I think we should give our younger pitchers a shot the next couple of years to figure out who is in and who is out.
Joe Palumbo, Kyle Cody, Wes Benjamin, Hans Crouse and Cole Winn need some room.
We already have Gibson and Lyles
A good moveI’m really hoping Jordan Lyles has a great 1st half on his contract year so we can trade him at the deadline.
I wonder of he doesn't work his way out of the rotation and into the pen by June.Yeah I would prefer giving our young pitchers a chance and we have time since we are not expected to go far in 2021
This comment was supposed to be about Jordan Lyles.I wonder of he doesn't work his way out of the rotation and into the pen by June.
Memories and good ones too

Maybe we can hook up with the Braves. The Nationals just landed Josh Bell from the Pirates for 2 pitching prospects.
The Braves need an OF and have too many pitchers.
Gallo is more valuable than Bell.(defense)
Maybe they can work something out if Atlanta sees Gallo more as a 2-3 WAR player and not a 2020 type player.
Wonder what it would take to get Drew Waters and Tucker Davidson.
And the best to you Scotty. Merry Christmas.Good morning all. Merry Christmas
Agree about Saguno but understand we’re also in the group for him tooMerry Christmas
We’re one of three finalists for Kohei Arihara
I’d rather have Tomoyuki Sugano. Little older but lower career whip and higher k/9. Lower era as well.
