I don’t know. How about good young players to get excited about and start building around.
There are at least a dozen of our prospects that I am very excited about. There are several others that are very intriguing.

Are they all ready for 2021? No.

2021 will be a year to relax and enjoy. Lots to watch and discuss and see what develops.

I’m excited about our top prospects as well

There’s a handful of prospects I like that aren’t talked about a whole lot too.

Rangers slugger Joey Gallo has been “available” since last summer’s trade deadline, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic writes. It’s unknown what it would cost to pry Gallo out of Texas, though Rosenthal notes that he’s popular among teams that value some combination of home runs, walks, athleticism and tools. The 27-year-old Gallo had a terrible year at the plate during the shortened 2020 season, in which he hit .181/.301/.378 with 10 home runs in 226 plate appearances, but he did earn a Gold Glove for his work in right field. Gallo’s also not far removed from a premier showing at the plate in 2019, and he comes with two affordable years of team control.

All Things on the table but for now Joey is face of the Rangers

Hoping we find some normalcy at the MILB level despite all the change happening

I think we need to wait. His value needs to improve or we won't get much for him IMO

Probably would be a good idea to let him rebound and tear up the first half then trade him to a team in contention who needs that “final piece”

That is my opinion. Sounds like the best plan.

right now 3570 of 5700 voters call for a trade
I vote to trade also when the time is right. Just don't want to give him away if there is a chance of getting a better deal

Does anyone on here favor keeping Gallo if he starts out hot and is willing to sign a 4 year deal with us?

NO! We have seen him start out hot before falling flat.

While I think he is a decent player and could get even better with age I just wouldn’t want to pay him what it would probably take given his low batting average, high Ks, inconsistencies and potential injury issues.
I grimace at even paying the consistent players top dollar. Long term, big contracts have a tendency to not work out very well.
I do hope he goes on a freaking tear though! Then trade him in July.

Like Odor he can’t sustain it. He hits homers but not much else and strikes out too much. But there are teams, like the Yankees, who can live wit that. But only if the return is good
