“Rangers slugger Joey Gallo has been “available” since last summer’s trade deadline, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic writes“

Wonder if they will end up trading him this off-season or wait for him to rebound in the first half
It would probably be wise to wait.

The Braves do need a RF and are loaded with starting pitching prospects.
Maybe Gallo and Leclerc for SP pitcher Tucker Davison, RP pitcher Victor Vodnik, outfielder Terone Harris and ss Vaughn Grissom

Maybe Gallo and Leclerc for 3 pitchers?
I am sure Young is aware

I’ll keep my thoughts to myself and not discuss them on this forum.
My apologies.

My apology. Don't run off. We all spitball at times and it is just a term commonly used when subject matter is thoughts and opinions. Your input is fine. Stick around.

Please continue to do so. It doesn't matter if no one agrees with you or if everyone does. I for one, appreciate your dedication that drives you to research trade scenarios. There will be days on here where everyone seems to think you are crazy. You should have been here when I proposed that the Rangers should begin rebuilding by trading away Beltre in 2014. Talk about being alone with an opinion.

Have fun with it. I will be glad to discuss with you in a very fair and friendly way when I disagree or when I agree. For some it is easier to discuss what-ifs, for others they don't want any part of that kind of discussion and will balk at just a mention. Bring in all the scenarios you want. That makes the board more interesting.

Ha ...but I seriously don't see the Rangers aiming high this offseason in their additions. They are in a rebuild....remember? All they really need is a placeholder anyways. Their future is fine at catcher but ok if they can upgrade with minimal cost ..sure why not..doubt it is any huge priority regardless

im still waiting for signs to see this rebuild is working.

all I’ve seen or heard is crickets.

What kind of signs are you looking for at this point?

Chris Young is the 1st sign I see that it's working.

Ha you are not the first one to throw stuff out there.
I thought we would make a splash in the FA market due to a new stadium. But that went contrary to the rebuild the team really needed.
My thought is that it would be a business marketing decision vs a baseball one. Now everyone is starving for a rebuild.

BTW a lot including me wanted Rendon. But in retrospect I think a rebuild was still necessary but that was not mentioned that I remember Ha

I have been pushing for a rebuild for 7 years now. Finally, a couple of years back, they decided to go that direction.

I knew If we signed Rendon that he would be here at least a year before we were ready to compete. Then Covid comes and pushes almost all of our prospects development back a year. If we had had an entire minor league season who knows who might have proven themselves ready for 2021. Maybe Crouse, Cody, and Winn would be ready along with Jung and Huff. Maybe Hearn, Phillips and Henriquez as well. Then we would be all set up to actively pursue another free agent or two this offseason.

I don’t know. How about good young players to get excited about and start building around.
I have very good feelings about Trevino Huff and IKF. Also I like what CY is doing. We will be looking at new names and faces that JD would not have gotten us through trades but it will take time to ID winners and losers.
